Friendships Last Forever When Women Come Together
Take flight on a new adventure! Whether you are new to the area or you have been here for years, we hope you will become part of the Alpharetta/Roswell Newcomers Club. Many residents discover “ARNC” when they move to this area, retire, move to a new neighborhood, or have a change in their lives. Through ARNC you will meet others who share some of your interests when you participate in your choice of “special interest groups”.
Our Heritage
Alpharetta/Roswell Newcomers Club was founded in 1970 to welcome people to the Roswell area. They held dinners and events to help introduce new families to the town. It was later reformed in 1989 and expanded to the city of Alpharetta and surrounding areas. Over the years it has grown to a current membership of over 125 women! Our membership is open to anyone in the area and is not exclusive to residents of Alpharetta and Roswell. The average age of our membership is 50 plus.
Activities and Interest Groups
Joining our club is a great way to meet new friends and learn about the area. We have recurring monthly “Special Interest Groups” ranging from card games to dining out, movies, book clubs, and Daytrippers. Our Interest Group Leaders are always happy to teach you a game you haven’t played! Check out our Interest page to learn more. In case we don’t have something that interests you, don’t let that stop you from joining and starting another group!
Monthly Meetings and Community Caring
ARNC members are offered a unique opportunity to give back to the community through the two local charities we support. Each month members have an opportunity to donate requested items to the charities at our monthly meetings. Throughout the year there may be fundraisers.
Our meetings are held at 10 a.m. on the third Wednesday of the month at the Hembree Recreational Center at 850 Hembree Rd. in Roswell (no meetings in June or July). At the ARNC meetings, there is a discussion from the president of the Board to update our members followed by a featured guest speaker. This is a terrific way to meet members you may not have met in your special interest groups. Afterwards we continue to socialize by meeting for lunch at a local venue.
How Can I Join?
Our yearly membership fee is $50 and begins on June 1st. You are welcome to attend one of our monthly meetings prior to joining to see what we are all about. If you prefer to join immediately, fill out the online application.
